Regulatory Tax & Compliance Officer – London

About the role

This position sits in the second line of defence for a leading international private banking group. Working closely with senior management, Legal & Compliance and front‑office teams, you will act as a trusted adviser on regulatory tax and compliance matters, helping the business maintain robust controls while delivering commercially focused solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage regulatory tax obligations including FATCA, Common Reporting Standard (CRS), Mandatory Disclosure Regime (MDR) and ISA‑related reporting.
• Support regulatory change initiatives, conduct monitoring and review activities, and enhance policies, procedures, systems and controls.
• Provide oversight on broader compliance areas such as market abuse surveillance, personal account dealing reviews, data protection, regulatory reporting and horizon scanning.
• Liaise regularly with front‑office teams, client lifecycle functions, senior management, auditors and international stakeholders.

Required profile

• Previous experience in banking or wealth‑management environments.
• Strong understanding of regulatory tax requirements and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with complex wealth structures, trusts, investment vehicles or private banking products is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, stakeholder‑management and communication skills.
