Relief Security Officer – Part‑time (Oxford)

About the role

First Response Group is looking for reliable Relief Security Officers to join its team on a part‑time basis at its Oxford site. You will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for staff, visitors and contractors while supporting the overall security strategy of the premises.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out regular internal and external patrols to deter unauthorised access, vandalism and suspicious behaviour.
• Monitor CCTV systems and other security equipment to ensure continuous site surveillance.
• Control entry and exit points, verify identification, issue passes and enforce access policies.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies and incidents, liaising with emergency services when required.
• Provide courteous assistance and clear directions to visitors, employees and contractors.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, incident reports and hand‑over notes.
• Identify potential health and safety hazards and report them in line with site procedures.
• Assist with fire safety drills, evacuation procedures and emergency planning.
