Religious Education Teacher (QTS Required) for KS3‑KS5

About the role
We are partnering with a welcoming secondary school in central Bristol that needs an enthusiastic Religious Education (RE) teacher from September. The role covers Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 and is initially for Terms 1 and 2, with the possibility of extending into Term 3 for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging RE lessons for KS3‑KS5, encouraging critical discussion of beliefs, perspectives and ethics.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the wider school community, sharing best practice with colleagues.
- Optionally act as a Year Tutor, providing pastoral support to a form group.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven experience teaching RE across KS3‑KS5.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for facilitating meaningful dialogue.
- Excellent communication and a positive classroom presence.
- Team‑player who enjoys collaborative school life.
Required skills
- In‑depth knowledge of Religious Education curricula.
- Ability to design lesson plans that promote critical thinking.
