About the role
Apex Clinical Research Network is seeking experienced NHS clinicians to join a remote, contract‑based team that creates expert‑grade clinical content for research protocols, decision‑support tools and applied medical programmes. This role offers flexible hours that fit around your existing clinical commitments.
Key responsibilities
- Design clinically realistic case scenarios drawn from your NHS practice.
- Produce attending‑level reference responses to set quality standards.
- Evaluate research outputs against structured clinical rubrics.
- Provide written feedback to refine clinical content.
- Participate in onboarding sessions and specialty calibration calls.
Required profile
- Current GMC registration with a licence to practise.
- Active NHS clinical work within the last 24 months.
- Consultant, SAS doctor, or ST4+ specialty trainee.
- Strong written English and ability to communicate clinical reasoning clearly.
- Preferred: Royal College membership (e.g., MRCP, MRCS, MRCPCH, MRCOG) and experience teaching or writing for clinical audiences.
Required skills
- Strong written English for clear clinical documentation.
What we offer
- Compensation of £250‑£300 per hour (specialty‑dependent), paid weekly.
- Fully remote, asynchronous work.
- Flexible commitment of 5‑20 hours per week.
- Ongoing contract reviewed monthly.
