Residential Childcare Trainer / Assessor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Residential Childcare Trainer / Assessor to deliver high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment for Level 4 and Level 5 qualifications. The role is hybrid, combining remote delivery with face‑to‑face support across Bristol and the West of England, and involves managing a caseload of around 50 learners from induction through to successful completion.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and assess Residential Childcare qualifications up to Level 5.
• Plan and deliver engaging blended‑learning sessions.
• Provide tailored teaching and assessment aligned to individual learner needs.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 50 learners, ensuring timely progression and achievement.
• Conduct initial assessments, create Individual Learning Plans and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Maintain accurate learner records, e‑portfolio documentation and ensure compliance with awarding‑body standards.
• Support internal and external quality‑assurance activities and meet performance targets.
• Travel across Bristol and the wider West of England for in‑person learner visits.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering childcare qualifications or senior residential childcare experience.
• Ability to manage a large learner caseload and support progression.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with learners, employers and managers.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of compliance and quality.
