About the role
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised professional to join our 40‑person consultancy. The role is split 70% Resourcing Manager and 30% Finance Assistant, ensuring consultant workloads are balanced while supporting essential financial administration.
Key responsibilities
- Prioritise and allocate capacity across sales, delivery and internal commitments with a commercial approach.
- Manage the end‑to‑end resourcing process, matching consultants to projects based on skills and availability.
- Lead weekly resourcing meetings to identify capacity risks, bottlenecks or under‑utilisation.
- Act as the bridge between the sales team (incoming work) and the delivery team (current capacity).
- Maintain and optimise resource management tools to provide a single source of truth for project scheduling.
- Own utilisation reports and provide forward‑looking data for recruitment and strategy decisions.
- Monitor project burn rates and alert project managers when budgets run ahead of plan.
- Track aged debtors, support cash collection and assist with project invoicing.
- Manage the purchase ledger and ensure timely processing of supplier invoices.
- Support month‑end processes by ensuring accurate consultant timesheets.
Required profile
- Proven experience in a traffic, resourcing or project management role within a fast‑paced agency or professional services environment.
- Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball.
- Strong numerical accuracy and experience with basic financial administration or budget tracking.
- Commercial mindset balancing sales objectives with utilisation expectations.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, able to negotiate resource conflicts.
