Retail Shop Fitter (General Labourer)

About the role

We are looking for a General Labourer / Retail Shop Fitter with a Green CSCS card to join our client’s installation team. The role is based in Bristol with occasional visits to the head office in Tewkesbury, and involves travelling to retail sites across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Install retail equipment and fit‑out elements according to client specifications.
• Carry out site surveys and interpret design diagrams.
• Load, unload and secure products during transit.
• Complete paperwork and health‑and‑safety documentation.
• Work independently or as part of a team of fitters and contractors.
• Travel to various UK locations and, occasionally, abroad.

Required profile

• Green CSCS card holder.
• Full UK driving licence (no more than 9 points).
• Current passport and willingness to travel.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements for national installations.
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Proficiency with power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams.

What we offer

• Pay rate of £15‑£17 per hour plus night‑shift bonus and overtime (1.5× after 12 weeks).
• Guaranteed minimum 39 hours per week with flexible shift patterns.
• Temp‑to‑perm opportunity and weekly pay.
• Subsistence allowance for night shifts, company uniform and vehicle after probation.
