Revenue Accountant – Oil & Gas

About the role

Our client, a leading oil and gas company, is looking for a Revenue Accountant to join their London team on a 12‑month contract. The role focuses on delivering accurate hydrocarbon revenue information and supporting the finance function across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue accurate invoices for hydrocarbon sales and manage self‑bill invoicing.
• Support inter‑company invoicing between business units and corporate.
• Perform account reconciliations, variance analysis and produce clear management reports.
• Deliver monthly accounting, reporting and weekly cash forecasts to Treasury.
• Assist the tax team with PRT returns and contribute to budgeting and planning.
• Support external audit processes and drive automation of reporting systems.

Required profile

• Degree qualified with an ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification.
• Proven experience in revenue and production accounting within upstream oil and gas, specifically UK North Sea operations.
• Strong analytical ability and a solid track record in accounting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with financial systems.
