Reverse Logistics Operative

About the role

Martin Brower UK & Ireland, a global supply chain and logistics provider serving major restaurant brands such as McDonald's, is hiring a Reverse Logistics Operative in Darlington. The role supports recycling, hygiene and sustainability operations in a multi-temperature food storage environment, ensuring materials are processed correctly, hygiene standards are kept and work is done safely and efficiently. It is a full-time, on-site position paid at £13.49 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Support recycling and reverse logistics activities, making sure materials are processed, packed and prepared accurately for collection and delivery.
• Work with colleagues across departments to keep daily operations smooth and efficient.
• Help maintain hygiene, housekeeping, food safety and compliance standards in the distribution centre.
• Operate equipment and machinery safely, following training and procedures.
• Complete operational schedules and documentation accurately and on time.
• Promote AIB, DQMP, workplace organisation and health and safety standards.
• Contribute to a clean, organised and environmentally responsible workplace.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and pride in accurate, safe work.
• Comfortable working collaboratively and also managing tasks independently.
• Organised, able to follow processes and meet deadlines.
• Committed to a safe, compliant and well-being-focused culture.
• Adaptable and open to learning new skills and processes.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with operational documentation.
• Experience in hygiene, logistics, warehousing, FMCG, MHE operation or MEWP equipment is beneficial but not essential.
