Safeguarding Co‑Ordinator

About the role

The Safeguarding Co‑Ordinator will support the Assistant Principal and the pastoral team at Wymondham College to ensure a robust safeguarding service for students and staff. This fixed‑term, term‑time position runs from September 2026 to February 2027 and offers a competitive salary.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day administrative support for the safeguarding team.
• Maintain and update safeguarding records and reports.
• Assist in the implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Coordinate training and awareness sessions for staff and volunteers.
• Act as a first point of contact for safeguarding concerns and liaise with the Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work tactfully with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Strong organisational abilities, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
• Experience working with children or young adults in a pastoral or safeguarding setting, preferably with vulnerable groups.
• Ability to work flexibly and take initiative.
