Sales and Purchasing Executive

About the role

An award-winning UK distributor of electronic components to manufacturers is looking for a Sales and Purchasing Executive in Honiton, Devon. The role centres on servicing the global client base and growing the supplier and buyer network within a designated territory. Hybrid work is possible after a successful training period, at the discretion of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing and purchasing large volumes of electronic components and managing their resale to the existing network of buyers
• Identifying, approaching and building relationships with global manufacturing businesses
• Negotiating and closing purchase deals with new and existing clients
• Liaising internally with the sales and trading team to ensure a smooth customer experience
• Developing and managing a personal pipeline of purchase opportunities and accounts
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing and supply chain dynamics
• Keeping accurate documentation and records in the system
• Providing excellent customer service and communication throughout the buying process

Required profile

• Previous sales experience is beneficial but not required
• A background in electronics or manufacturing is a plus
• Fluency in another European language (e.g. French, German, Spanish, Italian, Danish, Polish) is an advantage but not essential
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive to achieve and exceed targets
• Dynamic, enthusiastic and proactive, with strong multitasking abilities
• Room for growth and progression
• Must live within a commutable distance

What we offer

• Salary of up to £32,000 per annum OTE plus benefits
