Sales Executive – IT Accounts

About the role

A recruitment agency is recruiting a dynamic, results-driven Sales Executive in Farnham for a permanent position. The role centres on exceeding sales targets, managing a portfolio of accounts within the target market and driving new business. It involves building relationships, generating leads and carrying out daily sales and marketing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve the monthly GP target and make sales calls daily to existing accounts and new prospects, aiming at IT decision-makers.
• Visit at least one pre-profiled customer or prospect per month and register 60-100 quotes per month, closing at over 50%.
• Generate at least two Enterprise leads per month and sign up at least two new credit account customers per month.
• Build an Enterprise GP pipeline worth roughly four times the monthly sales target and a general sales GP pipeline worth more than six times it.
• Mail personalised marketing materials to at least 100 accounts each month and provide accurate sales forecasts.
• Manage vendor registrations, follow up on sales leads, and handle contract renewals.
• Use BI tools to maximise efficiency, study for manufacturer accreditations, and escalate issues to Customer Services.

Required profile

• Demonstrated success in IT sales, including strong communication with decision-makers and deal negotiation.
• Solid understanding of business needs, budgeting and IT infrastructure.
• High motivation, attention to detail, and excellent prioritisation, including avoiding distractions such as mobile phones and social media.
• Strong personal presentation, time management and reliability.

Required skills

• Desirable: experience with SAP Business One.
• Desirable: proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Desirable: understanding of IT network components.

What we offer

• Salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience.
• 20 days of holiday to start, with an extra half or full day each year, up to a maximum of 25 days.
