Sales Manager – Furniture Retail

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead the showroom of a leading UK furniture retailer in Poole. The role combines hands‑on leadership with a focus on delivering an exceptional customer journey from enquiry to purchase.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a high‑performing sales team.
• Drive sales, margin and KPI performance across the showroom.
• Deliver an outstanding customer experience throughout the sales process.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members to maximise performance.
• Manage rotas, daily operations, stock processes and store administration.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and health & safety standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve commercial performance and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proven furniture retail sales experience (essential).
• Previous experience in a Sales Manager, Assistant Manager or Store Manager role within furniture retail.
• Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and people development abilities.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to drive store performance.
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
• Hands‑on approach with a passion for leading from the front.
