Sales Manager – Player Coach (FMCG & Consumer Insights)

About the role

This is a player‑coach position for a high‑performing B2B sales leader who will both manage a team and close strategic new business. You will work with globally recognised brands in FMCG, retail, pharma and healthcare, driving commercial growth across the UK and international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of up to five Business Development Managers.
• Drive high performance through mentorship, training and hands‑on leadership.
• Lead from the front by personally winning new business opportunities.
• Sell subscriptions and data licences for a premium consumer insights platform.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close.
• Target senior decision‑makers including CEOs, CFOs and CIOs.
• Build relationships with enterprise and blue‑chip organisations across FMCG, retail, pharma and healthcare.

Required profile

• Proven B2B sales leadership experience, preferably in data or insight solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop sales teams.
• Hands‑on track record of winning high‑value, complex deals.
• Experience selling to senior executives in large organisations.
• Comfort operating across UK, EMEA, North America and APAC markets.
