About the role

We are looking for a sales‑driven Recruitment Consultant to join Hays’ Professional Services team in London. This entry‑level position focuses on building relationships with organisations and placing top‑tier candidates across the professional sector, with a competitive base salary and uncapped commission.

Key responsibilities

• Make cold and sales calls to prospective clients to promote Hays’ recruitment services.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, directors and recruitment teams.
• Conduct face‑to‑face meetings with in‑house recruitment professionals and key decision‑makers.
• Source, screen and recruit high‑quality candidates for professional roles.
• Prepare reports, ensure compliance and contribute to internal projects.
• Meet daily targets and KPIs to achieve revenue and commission goals.

Required profile

• Proven sales experience with a track record of hitting targets and managing pipelines.
• Resilience under pressure and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication skills – confident on the phone and persuasive in conversation.
• Proactive business development mindset with the ability to generate new opportunities.
