School Bank Nurse – Flexible Part‑time Role

About the role

Claires Court is seeking a qualified School Bank Nurse to provide ad‑hoc cover for its full‑time nursing team. This part‑time, temporary position offers flexible working in a supportive school environment, allowing you to deliver high‑quality health care to pupils, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver evidence‑based nursing care in line with the NMC Code.
• Provide first aid and emergency care, including pitch‑side support when required.
• Assess, triage and treat pupils with acute or chronic health needs.
• Offer confidential health advice and sign‑post to appropriate services.
• Liaise with teachers, parents and external health professionals.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure GDPR compliance.
• Handle, store and administer medicines safely.
• Manage health‑centre supplies and emergency equipment.
• Follow infection‑control procedures and promote health education.

Required profile

• Qualified nurse with current NMC registration.
• Strong clinical skills, preferably with school or community experience.
• Organised, calm under pressure and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
