Science Teacher – Secondary Schools in Portsmouth

About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic Science Teachers to join secondary schools in Portsmouth starting September 2026 (or sooner). You will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of delivering KS5 lessons, covering Biology, Chemistry, Physics or General Science.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, high‑quality science lessons for mixed‑ability classes.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the science department’s curriculum development and improvement.
- Participate in whole‑school activities, extracurricular clubs and departmental meetings.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Strong subject knowledge in at least one science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or General Science).
- Commitment to inclusive, student‑centred teaching.
- Willingness to engage with the wider school community.
