About the role
We are seeking a qualified English Teacher to join a Good‑rated secondary school in Upminster. The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday, and involves teaching students aged 11‑16 across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated English lessons for KS3 and KS4.
- Assess, monitor and track student progress to ensure strong attainment.
- Create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate with the English department and wider school team.
- Contribute to curriculum development, intervention programmes and enrichment activities.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A degree in English or a related subject.
- Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 & KS4).
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Proactive, positive and collaborative attitude.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
