Secondary Supply Teacher (KS3 & KS4) – Solihull

About the role
Prospero Teaching is looking for enthusiastic secondary supply teachers to cover KS3 and KS4 classes across a range of schools in Solihull. The role offers both daily supply and longer‑term placements, giving you flexibility to fit teaching around other commitments or to transition into a permanent position.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in your specialist subject or provide general cover.
- Follow each school’s policies and procedures to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
- Assess, monitor and support student progress where required.
- Create a positive, inclusive and well‑managed classroom environment.
- Build constructive relationships with students, staff and the wider school community.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) – essential.
- Experience teaching in a UK secondary school setting.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Two professional references covering the last two years.
Required skills
- Up‑to‑date safeguarding knowledge (training can be provided if not completed within the last 12 months).
