SEMH Teacher – Specialist Setting (Epilepsy & Neurological Conditions)

About the role
We are looking for a passionate SEMH Teacher to join a specialist school that supports children and young people with epilepsy and related neurological, emotional, and mental health needs. You will work in a therapeutic environment with small class sizes, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH and epilepsy needs.
- Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
- Support pupils in emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social development.
- Work with therapists, clinicians, and support staff to implement individual education and care plans.
- Apply trauma‑informed and therapeutic approaches to promote wellbeing.
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to individual requirements.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent.
- Experience with SEMH, SEND, or vulnerable learners.
- Understanding of behaviour support and emotional wellbeing.
- Calm, patient, resilient with strong communication skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding.
