SEN & EAL Teaching Assistant – Primary Academy

About the role

Join a supportive primary academy in East Bristol as a Teaching Assistant dedicated to Special Educational Needs (SEN) and English as an Additional Language (EAL) provision. You will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to create a calm, inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEN and EAL.
• Deliver targeted interventions to develop communication, language and social skills.
• Adapt resources and differentiate activities to help pupils access the curriculum.
• Build positive relationships that promote confidence, independence and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with the SEND team, teachers and specialist staff to ensure high‑quality support.

Required profile

• Experience working with children in a school, nursery, care setting or similar.
• Interest in supporting pupils with SEN and EAL.
• Patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive education.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, team‑oriented attitude.

• Term‑time contract (Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑3:30 pm) with a daily rate of £90‑£105 (PAYE).
