SEN Learning Support Assistant – Full‑time (Eastbourne)

About the role

Academics is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join specialist SEN schools in Eastbourne as Learning Support Assistants. You will work full‑time, Monday to Friday, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language difficulties, and complex learning challenges.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils on a daily basis.
  • Collaborate closely with experienced SEN teachers and therapists.
  • Encourage learning, communication and independence in each child.
  • Create a positive, nurturing learning environment.

Required profile

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred).
  • Caring, patient and proactive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
  • Right to work in the UK.
