SEN/ SEND Tutor – Flexible Teaching Roles in Somerset & Bristol

About the role

Join Targeted Provision as a SEN/SEND Tutor delivering flexible, trauma‑informed tuition in Maths, English or Science to young people with SEND and SEMH needs across Somerset and Bristol. Work in‑person, online or hybrid, with pay ranging from £28‑£35 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group tuition for pupils from KS1 to KS5 with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD or PMLD.
• Plan and deliver lessons that are adaptable to in‑person, remote or hybrid formats.
• Maintain safeguarding standards and create a safe learning environment.
• Record progress, produce reports and liaise with schools and local authorities.
• Collaborate with the SEND Support Team and participate in CPD activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years teaching experience, preferably with SEND, SEMH or related needs.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) and two professional references.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and safe learning environments.

Required skills

• Experience teaching Maths, English and/or Science.
• Ability to deliver trauma‑informed, flexible tutoring.
• Proficiency in using online teaching platforms and hybrid classroom tools.
