SEN Teacher – Full‑time Temp‑to‑Perm (Chiswick)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SEN Teacher to join a secondary school in Chiswick on a full‑time, temporary‑to‑permanent basis. You will work within a specialist sensory classroom supporting students with moderate learning difficulties, helping them achieve both academic and personal growth.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to moderate learning difficulties.
• Create a calm, stimulating sensory environment.
• Promote communication, confidence and social development.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and the wider SEN team.
• Monitor progress and adapt learning to meet EHCP targets.
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers and external professionals.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching SEN students in a specialist or mainstream setting.
• Knowledge of moderate learning difficulties and sensory‑based approaches.
• Experience with secondary‑aged learners.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies.
• Patient, adaptable and flexible teaching style.
