SEN Teacher – Full‑time Temp‑to‑Perm (Chiswick)

About the role
We are looking for an experienced SEN Teacher to join a secondary school in Chiswick on a full‑time, temporary‑to‑permanent basis. You will work within a specialist sensory classroom supporting students with moderate learning difficulties, helping them achieve both academic and personal growth.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to moderate learning difficulties.
- Create a calm, stimulating sensory environment.
- Promote communication, confidence and social development.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and the wider SEN team.
- Monitor progress and adapt learning to meet EHCP targets.
- Build positive relationships with parents, carers and external professionals.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching SEN students in a specialist or mainstream setting.
- Knowledge of moderate learning difficulties and sensory‑based approaches.
- Experience with secondary‑aged learners.
- Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies.
- Patient, adaptable and flexible teaching style.
