SEN Teacher – KS1 (Autism & SLD) – Full‑Time

About the role
We are looking for a passionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Central London. You will lead a settled KS1 class of children with autism and specific learning difficulties, delivering a sensory‑based curriculum in a supportive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons tailored to individual sensory and learning needs.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to maximise student engagement.
- Maintain strong, supportive relationships with pupils and promote inclusion across school life.
- Undertake break and lunchtime duties, especially for students with ASD.
- Collaborate with the SENDCO, HLTA and TA team to ensure effective classroom support.
- Lead timetabling for support staff, mentor HLTA/TA, and manage classroom staffing.
- Update SEND student profiles, monitor progress and contribute to intervention reviews.
- Act as a tutor for a small group, overseeing academic and emotional wellbeing.
Required profile
- Available for full‑time work from October 2026.
- Proven experience in SEN, preferably with KS1/primary‑aged pupils.
- Confidence in delivering a sensory‑based curriculum.
- Ability to commute daily to Central London.
- Willingness to commit initially until the end of term, with potential for a longer‑term role.
Required skills
- Knowledge of autism spectrum disorder and specific learning difficulties.
- Experience designing and implementing sensory‑focused learning activities.
- Strong classroom management and organisational abilities.
