SEN Teacher – Primary (Ashford, Kent)

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic SEN Teachers to join schools in Ashford and surrounding areas of Kent. The role involves delivering tailored, inclusive lessons for primary‑aged pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, SEMH and complex learning profiles.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet individual SEN requirements.
• Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that promotes academic and emotional growth.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and multidisciplinary staff to implement individual learning plans.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting strategies as needed.
• Maintain effective communication with parents, carers and external professionals.
• Uphold safeguarding and SEN policies at all times.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
• Experience teaching primary‑aged pupils with SEN, particularly ASD, SEMH or complex needs.
• Strong commitment to inclusive education and child welfare.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and classroom management abilities.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) and full legal right to work in the UK.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions for primary learners.
