SEN Teacher – Specialist School (Autism)

About the role
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our specialist school in Chelmsford, focusing on pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You will design and deliver differentiated lessons that support academic, social, emotional and communication development.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, personalised learning programmes for students with ASD.
- Implement effective behaviour support strategies and monitor progress.
- Collaborate closely with therapists, support staff and families.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assess student needs regularly and adapt teaching approaches accordingly.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong passion for SEN.
- Experience working with children and young people with ASD.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Local residence in Chelmsford or a full driving licence.
