SEN Teacher – Specialist School (Temp to Permanent)

About the role
We are seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to join our specialist school in Medway on a temporary‑to‑permanent basis starting September 2026. You will work with pupils aged 4‑11 who have Autism Spectrum Disorder, moderate, profound and multiple learning difficulties, and social‑emotional‑mental health needs.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess personalised lessons for small groups and individual pupils.
- Implement strong behaviour management strategies and differentiate learning activities to meet diverse needs.
- Collaborate with the leadership team and support staff to develop and review individual education plans.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and communicate regularly with parents and external agencies.
- Contribute to a nurturing, inclusive school culture that promotes academic, social and emotional development.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
- Proven experience working in an SEN setting with children aged 4‑11.
- Demonstrated ability to manage behaviour and differentiate instruction effectively.
- Genuine passion for inclusive education and building positive relationships with pupils.
