SEN Teacher (Temp to Perm)

About the role
We are seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist education setting in Much Hadham, Hertfordshire. This temp‑to‑perm position offers the chance to work with children and young people who have complex learning difficulties, autism, epilepsy, and additional needs.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Support learners in developing communication, independence, social and life skills alongside academic progress.
- Create a positive, structured classroom environment.
- Collaborate closely with Learning Support Assistants, therapists, and families.
- Monitor, assess and celebrate learner progress, contributing to EHCP targets and person‑centred planning.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Experience working with SEND learners, preferably in specialist or post‑16 settings.
- Creative, adaptable and nurturing approach to teaching.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and high aspirations for every learner.
