SEN Teacher – Year 3 (Primary) – 2 days teaching + SENCo support

About the role

We are partnering with a welcoming primary school in Brent to recruit an experienced SEN Teacher for September 2026. The role combines two days of teaching a high‑needs Year 3 class with three days supporting the SENCo.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver inclusive, high‑quality lessons for a small mixed‑age group of pupils with special educational needs.
• Provide targeted interventions and personalised support to close learning gaps.
• Assist the SENCo in monitoring progress, implementing strategies and liaising with staff.
• Collaborate with class teachers, support staff, parents and external agencies to ensure consistent support.
• Stay up‑to‑date with SEN legislation, research and best practice.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching or supporting pupils with SEN across the primary phase (EYFS, KS1, KS2).
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Reflective, proactive team player with a positive attitude towards continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SEN legislation and intervention strategies.
