SEN Teaching Assistant – Cheltenham

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with additional needs in mainstream schools across Cheltenham. The role offers flexible placement options, from daily supply to long‑term full‑time positions, with immediate start dates.

Key responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers in delivering inclusive lessons for pupils with special educational needs.
• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to help pupils achieve their learning goals.
• Adapt learning materials and resources to meet individual needs.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, communicating observations to teachers and parents.
• Maintain a safe, supportive and positive classroom environment.

Required profile

• Experience working with children, preferably in a SEN setting.
• Genuine passion for helping pupils with additional needs thrive.
• Confidence and adaptability to support a range of ages and learning requirements.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a school team.
