SEN Teaching Assistant – Daily Rate £90-£110

About the role

This position offers the chance to work in a specialist school supporting children with a wide range of special educational needs. You will be part of a dynamic team that values professional development and a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to children with SEN, including ASD, SLD, PMLD and emotional‑behavioural needs.
• Facilitate academic and personal growth through tailored activities.
• Deliver personal care and ensure the well‑being of each child.
• Participate in a paid trial period to demonstrate capability.
• Collaborate with staff to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for special education.
• Flexible, proactive and patient attitude.
• Strong team communication skills.
• Resilience and willingness to go beyond expectations.
• Background in education, care or psychology is beneficial.

Required skills

• Willingness to learn non‑verbal communication methods.
• Makaton (preferred).
• PECS (preferred).
