About the role
Prospero Teaching is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a secondary school in Brent. The position starts on 2 September 2026 and runs until the end of the academic year, offering a full‑time, on‑site role supporting pupils with special educational needs.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to SEN pupils in classroom and pastoral settings.
- Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, adaptations and behaviour management.
- Monitor pupil progress and record observations for the SENCO team.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive environment in line with safeguarding policies.
Required profile
- Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a SEN context.
- A relevant degree.
- Up‑to‑date safeguarding training completed within the last year.
- Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
