About the role
Join a dedicated team in Plymouth as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to support children with special educational needs, helping them achieve academic and personal milestones.
Key responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to SEN students within the classroom environment.
- Assist with academic learning tasks and personal development activities.
- Work one‑on‑one or in small groups to ensure individual needs are met.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement effective engagement strategies.
- Help manage behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
Required profile
- Compassionate and patient attitude towards young learners.
- Driver with access to a vehicle (desirable but not essential).
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Passion for supporting the development and education of children.
- GCSE Mathematics and English at grade C or equivalent.
