About the role
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our school team in Leeds. You will work directly with children who have special educational needs, providing personalised support that helps them thrive academically and socially.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with teachers and school staff to provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with a range of SEN.
- Deliver targeted interventions and personalised support strategies to help each child reach their full potential.
- Adapt teaching approaches and materials to suit individual learning requirements.
- Monitor progress, record observations and share feedback with the teaching team.
Required profile
- Passionate about supporting children with SEN and eager to make a positive impact.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and caring attitude.
- Willingness to learn and develop specialist SEN strategies.
- Previous experience with SEN pupils is desirable but not essential.
Required skills
- Understanding of special educational needs and inclusive teaching practices.
