About the role
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Brent, London. The role starts in September 2026 on a full‑time, ongoing basis, supporting Year 5 pupils as they prepare for upper Key Stage 2.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver targeted English and Maths intervention sessions for small groups of Year 5 students.
- Provide general classroom support, assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.
- Monitor pupil progress, record outcomes and adapt support strategies as needed.
- Collaborate closely with class teachers and the wider support team to ensure cohesive intervention planning.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or a strong academic background in education.
- Demonstrated ability to work with pupils with diverse needs, particularly in Key Stage 2.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Required skills
- Strong English and Maths proficiency.
- Effective communication and small‑group facilitation.
