About the role
We are looking for a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to a KS1 pupil with autism spectrum disorder. You will help the child engage with learning, develop independence and build confidence while working closely with the class teacher and SENCO.
Key responsibilities
- Provide dedicated one‑to‑one support to a KS1 pupil with autism spectrum disorder, helping them engage with learning activities.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised support strategies and monitor progress.
- Encourage positive behaviour, promote both academic and social development, and foster independence and confidence.
Required profile
- Patient, understanding and adaptable with a genuine commitment to supporting children with special educational needs.
- Previous experience supporting pupils with ASD or other complex needs in a primary school setting.
- Ability to travel to Hackney and work on‑site in the school environment.
