SEN Teaching Assistant – Tewkesbury Primary Schools

About the role
Join a trusted education recruitment agency to support mainstream primary schools in Tewkesbury as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. You will work directly with pupils who have a range of SEN requirements, helping them achieve their learning and wellbeing goals.
Key responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering lessons tailored to SEN pupils.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to enhance learning outcomes.
- Adapt resources and activities to meet individual needs.
- Monitor pupil progress and report observations to teachers.
- Promote a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
Required profile
- Experience working with children, preferably with SEN experience.
- Genuine passion for supporting pupil development and wellbeing.
- Confidence and adaptability to work with diverse age groups and SEN needs.
- Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check.
- Relevant qualifications or prior SEN TA experience are advantageous but not mandatory.
