SEN Teaching Assistant – Wokingham (Full‑time, £90‑£105/day)

About the role

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming, inclusive SEN school in Wokingham. You will support children and young people with a variety of special educational needs, helping them achieve their full potential in a safe and positive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, learning and communication difficulties, and complex needs.
• Assist pupils with classroom activities, learning tasks and the development of communication, social and independence skills.
• Support emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour.
• Collaborate with teachers, other teaching assistants and support staff to plan and deliver individualized interventions.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, behaviour and achievement.
• Create and maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children, young people or individuals with additional needs.
• Patient, resilient and committed attitude with a genuine desire to help pupils succeed.
• Ability to support a wide range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties and communication challenges.
• Commitment to fostering a safe, positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
