About the role

We are looking for an experienced SEND Officer to support Hertfordshire County Council’s new needs‑lead funding model for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHC Plans). The role will focus on implementing a new software system, reviewing needs and provision, and quality‑assuring funding decisions.

Key responsibilities

Implement and configure the new funding software in line with project timelines.
Review and assess the needs and provision sections of EHC Plans.
Quality‑assure funding allocations to ensure consistency and compliance.
Work to defined timescales and apply consistent decision‑making criteria.
Liaise with project team members and, when required, with school representatives.

Required profile

Thorough knowledge of SEND policy, schools and specialist provision.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work against deadlines.
Experience in reviewing EHC Plans and funding models.
Comfortable working in a project environment without direct casework or parent contact.

Required skills

What we offer

Day rate of £300.
Hybrid working arrangement.
Immediate start date.
