SEND Teacher (Temporary) – Daily Rate £174‑£223

About the role
We are looking for a dedicated SEND Teacher to join a local school in Morecambe on a temporary basis. The role runs full‑time from 1 September to 23 October, with the possibility of extension. You will work directly with children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, delivering tailored instruction and support.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning for SEND pupils.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learner needs.
- Set clear learning objectives and communicate them to students.
- Observe, evaluate and record student performance and progress.
- Maintain accurate records in line with legal and school requirements.
- Prepare required reports on student activities and development.
- Manage classroom behaviour by establishing and enforcing rules.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a SEND Teacher or in a similar role working with SEND children.
- Strong understanding of challenges faced by children with SEND and effective strategies to address them.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, resilience and dedication to student development.
- Relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
