SEND Teaching Assistant – South East London

About the role
We are partnering with a SEND school in Peckham to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant. The role starts in September and involves supporting pupils with complex needs, including autism spectrum disorder, across ages 4 to 19.
Key responsibilities
- Provide personal care and day‑to‑day support for pupils with SEND.
- Assist the classroom teacher in delivering tailored lessons and activities.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment within the school premises.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures, including obtaining a Child and Adult DBS.
Required profile
- Experience working with SEND pupils or in a care‑support setting.
- Willingness to “get stuck in” and support a family‑like school community.
- Motivation to progress within the education sector.
- Ability to work full‑time (08:30‑15:30) on‑site.
