Senior Accountant – Remote (Up to £50k)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a modern, forward‑thinking practice. The role combines client relationship management with the delivery of high‑quality accounting and tax services, using cloud‑based platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of practice clients, providing accounting and tax support.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts, financial statements, VAT returns and corporation tax computations.
• Support clients in adopting and using cloud accounting systems such as Xero and QuickBooks.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and liaise with HMRC as required.
• Review work of junior team members and provide mentorship.
• Identify opportunities to improve client services and contribute to business growth.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification (or part‑qualified/qualified by experience).
• Previous experience within an accountancy practice, managing a client portfolio.
• Strong knowledge of VAT and corporation tax.
• Proactive, organised and client‑focused approach.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the wider team.
