Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role

If you work in Accounts Payable, you'll know there's a fairly big difference between working in AP and actually being good at it. This job is for someone in the second camp. The company needs someone who can understand how a busy AP function works, stay on top of detail and get things done without being chased every five minutes.

Key responsibilities

• Running payments through SAP Concur administration and expense approvals
• Managing IDOCs
• Posting direct debits
• Producing daily reports
• Dealing with one‑time payment reconciliation and clearing
• Supporting audit requests
• Keeping the AP ledger tidy and ensuring controls and procedures are followed
• Working with Finance and other teams across the business to resolve queries
• Maintaining good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• General housekeeping across the AP function

Required profile

• Good experience working within a busy Accounts Payable function
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot issues
• Comfortable working accurately under tight deadlines
• Organised enough to manage and prioritise your own workload
• Confident communicator across Finance and the wider business
• Proactive ownership rather than waiting for instructions
• Practical, positive approach to solving problems
• Dependable, switched‑on and experienced in what a good AP function looks like
