Senior Associate – Legal Director (Dispute Resolution)

About the role

We are seeking a senior dispute resolution lawyer to join a respected regional law firm in Guildford. The role combines a high‑value caseload with leadership of the growing dispute team, offering the chance to shape the practice’s future.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of complex, high‑value commercial and civil disputes.
• Advise clients on contractual and shareholder disagreements.
• Handle construction‑related disputes where applicable.
• Provide day‑to‑day supervision, mentorship and professional development for junior lawyers.
• Collaborate with senior partners on strategically important matters.
• Maintain high standards of client service and technical delivery across the team.

Required profile

• Significant experience in complex dispute resolution, including contractual and shareholder matters.
• Proven ability to manage high‑value cases independently.
• Previous experience supervising and mentoring lawyers.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.

Required skills

• Expertise in contractual dispute resolution.
• Expertise in shareholder dispute resolution.
• Construction dispute experience (preferred, not essential).
