Senior Associate/AVP – Public Markets Equity & Derivatives Trader

About the role

Temasek’s Public Markets team is looking for an experienced trader to join its London office. The role focuses on equity trading across cash and derivative instruments, supporting the firm’s global investment and divestment activities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and manage positions in cash equities, OTC equity derivatives and listed options.
• Structure and price bespoke OTC derivative solutions aligned with portfolio objectives.
• Trade listed options, futures and block/basket equity orders to capture tactical opportunities.
• Collaborate with brokers, counterparties, portfolio managers, risk and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely trade execution.
• Monitor market developments and provide input on liquidity‑driven strategies.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of equity markets, cash and derivative products.
• Detail‑oriented, collaborative and able to work across time zones.
• Experience in a fast‑paced trading environment, preferably within a global investment firm.

Required skills

• Proficiency in trading OTC equity derivatives (single‑stock, ETF, index options, total‑return swaps).
• Experience with listed options, including FLEX options, and futures contracts.
• Ability to structure and price bespoke derivative solutions.
