Senior Audit Manager

About the role

Senior Audit Manager role split 50% commercial audit and 50% accounts, managing qualified audit staff, liaising with partners and reviewing audits for corporate PLCs and PE‑backed businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of audit and account clients with turnovers up to £150m, including multi‑national AIM listed, private groups and PE‑backed enterprises.
• Assist partners in planning and executing complex UK and international audit engagements, including client meetings.
• Develop business by managing existing clients and targeting new audit clients within the London region.
• Review internal audit working practices and drive efficiency improvements.
• Oversee qualified audit staff on major client sites to ensure audit objectives are met.
• Act as a trusted business adviser to major clients, maintaining relationships.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA/ICAS/ACCA accountant with at least 5 years’ experience running large audit portfolios.
• Experience in commercial industry sectors, OMBs, PE‑backed, listed and international groups.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102.
• Ambitious, career‑oriented and entrepreneurial mindset.
