Senior Auditor

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Auditor to join a respected accountancy practice in Watford. The role offers a blend of audit and accounts preparation work, with opportunities for professional development and hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, lead and deliver audit assignments from start to completion.
• Manage audit engagements for a diverse client portfolio, including larger and complex organisations.
• Supervise, mentor and review the work of junior team members.
• Prepare statutory and consolidated financial statements under FRS102.
• Produce draft corporation tax computations and support group reporting requirements.
• Assist with the preparation of accounts for limited companies, partnerships and LLPs.
• Ensure assignments are delivered on time and within budget.
• Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted point of contact.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or progressing towards qualification.
• Minimum 2.5 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong audit experience across various client sectors.
• Good technical knowledge of auditing and financial reporting standards.
• Experience reviewing work and supporting junior colleagues.
• Confident communicator with strong client relationship skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritise effectively.
• Proactive approach and desire to develop further in the profession.
