Senior Buyer – Childrenswear (Boys Brands)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to lead our childrenswear portfolio, focusing on boys' brands across Kent and Sussex. You will shape the category strategy, work with premium partners and influence commercial decisions in a fast‑moving international retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute buying strategy for branded childrenswear, creating commercially successful seasonal ranges.
• Build and nurture relationships with luxury brand partners while scouting new opportunities.
• Analyse customer insight, trading data and market trends to drive growth in international markets.
• Collaborate with Merchandising to optimise stock investment, forecasting and profitability.
• Lead weekly trading reviews, respond to performance shifts and drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with Ecommerce and Marketing on product launches, hero items and campaigns.
• Coach and mentor junior Buyers, sharing expertise and developing the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Buyer or established Buyer managing branded categories, preferably in childrenswear.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer needs and business performance.
• Demonstrated success building relationships with premium or luxury brand partners.
• Confident negotiator with excellent influencing skills.
• Analytical mindset, using data to inform commercial decisions.
• Collaborative, cross‑functional working style.
• Passion for product trends and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
